APR 15: Studio Lemercier + Heft, One-Day Exhibition

Studio Lemercier Pop-up Exhibition

April 15th Event 6 - 9pm
April 16th Viewings and Closing

In "The Ocean Exceeds All Memory," a series of new plotter drawings transcribes moments observing the ocean into thousands of ink drops. The exhibition emerges from the artist’s March 2026 crossing of the Atlantic Ocean aboard a sailing vessel, traveling from France to New York without flying. First conceived in 2024 as a response to the environmental impact of air travel, the journey became an opportunity to produce new work within the conditions of the open ocean itself.

The new unique works from this exhibition will be available to collect by gallery visitors on the 15th, followed by a public online release at 1pm on April 16th. Each plotted work is accompanied by its corresponding SVG file as an Ethereum NFT.

The exhibition will be presented as a single evening event, followed by a day of viewings, hosted by Studio Lemercier’s Joanie Lemercier and Juliette Bibasse, along with Heft's Adam Berninger.

This opening event will include a short Conversations moment between gallery and studio, starting at 7pm sharp. Join us for this presentation, celebration, further documentation of Studio Lemercier's voyage, and live plotter drawing demonstration.
